Egholm Salt & Sand Spreader for City Ranger 2260

With Egholms salt and sand spreader, you are well-equipped to keep slippery conditions under control! 

The salt and sand spreader is funnel-shaped so that salt, sand or gravel is pressed down by its own weight. & even wet material flows freely. A stirrer prevents clotting and a vibrating plate in the bottom drives the material down onto the spreader plate for the correct spreading width.

The dosing unit and the spreading width are manually set by the operator, so that no more material is used than needed - to the benefit of both the environment and the operating costs.  

All parts in contact with salt are stainless while due to a large volume & a low load height, the salt and sand spreader is easy and quite accommodating to work with. It runs far on one filling, and the start/stop function ensures spreading only when the machine is moving. 

This salt and sand spreader ensures a precise and uniform distribution of the material and, thus, also an even thawing of e.g. bicycle paths, pavements or parking areas. The spread width may be adjusted from 1-5 m and may also be adjusted for sideways spreading when this is required by the terrain. while the atrat/stop function ensures spreading follows the motion of the utility vehicle & all spreading stops when the City Ranger does.

This salt and sand spreader is ideally combined with both a snow plough, a V-plough, a snow blower or a snow sweeper. The City Ranger 2260 thus simultaneously both clears snow and protects against slippery conditions.

Features:

• Durable Material - all parts that get in contact with salt and sand are rust free, made of synthetic material or stainless steel.
• Stirrer - the stirrer prevents blocking, crushes lumps and ensures precise and uniform spreading - and thereby even thawing of the ground. Made of hardened Hardox steel the stirrer fingers are extremely robust.
• Material Storage - space for extra bags of salt and sand on top of the hopper grate, enabling the operator to fill the salt and sand spreader on site. Please note the maximum loading capacity.
• Stand - a stand for attaching/detaching is delivered with the spreader as standard. The stand has wheels, making it easy to move the spreader into storage without heavy lifting.
• Start/Stop Function - the start/stop function ensures that the spreading follows the motion of the vehicle. All spreading stops when the vehicle stops moving.

Optional Equipment:

• Powder Coated Frame - the standard spreader is made of steel and has a C3 protective treatment for good durability. It has one motor for all functions. 70 kg.
• Stainless Steel Frame - produced in stainless steel this spreader has a high durability. It has two motor for individual adjustments of the spreading disc and the stirrer for optimized spreading. It has been optimized with rubber sealings for a tighter fit. 91 kg
• Tarpaulin Cover - keeps the material dry and thereby indirectly improve the spreading accuracy.
