This model features a 33cm cutting width, perfectly suited for smaller gardens, and solves one of the biggest frustrations of line replacement. EGO’s ground-breaking Powerload™ technology automatically loads the line into the trimmer head. Just thread the line, press the Powerload™ button and let the tool do the rest.

The efficient and powerful brushless motor allows you longer run times, and can be fitted with any size EGO battery to keep you going for as long as you need. The soft-start function of the motor means extended life, plus a smoother experience when firing up the tool. The speed control is a constant speed, but with two-speed selector which allows you to increase the power when needed.

When you’re up against more stubborn, overgrown, or thicker areas, the two-speed modes mean you can ramp up the power to slice them away with ease. The free-rotating bump cap lets you rest the cutting head on the ground without being worn away, making purchasing replacements a thing of the past.

The ST1401E-ST includes a loop and quick-adjust handle for balanced and comfortable operation, plus a telescopic shaft means the height is also adjustable to reduce bending and provide long-term health benefits. A 2.4mm nylon twist line and the ST1401E-ST features a clockwise cutting rotation. A plastic guard is fitted on the head to protect the user from debris which will be stirred up during use.
